Beginner Tutorials：How to crochet a Little Whales

   Here are easy Crochet animals to make and it would make a great decoration.
   I have been crocheting for over 1 years and this took me 30～45 minutes to make one so this pattern can be longer or shorter depending on you level of experience of crocheting.
     The pattern of some parts of the 6 animals is common, please pay attention to the pattern suitable for the animal you make.

      Most of the amigurumi patterns are very similar.Once you learn how to read the pattern, you can make an amigurumi piece independently just by using the pattern.

Step 1: Crocheting the body

Body
With desired color yarn

Rnd 1 : 6 sc in magic ring (6) 

P.S. To keep track of where you are,use a stitch marker to mark the beginning and end of each round. After the end of one Round, make a slip stitch and a chain stitch to start the next round.(This rule applies to each round)

Rnd 2 : inc x 6 (12)

Rnd 3 : [sc,inc] x 6 (18)

Rnd 4 : sc,inc,[2 sc,inc] x 5,sc (24)

Rnd 5~8 : 24 sc (24)

Change white yard
Rnd 9 : 7 sc, 3 ch,
             hdc in 2nd ch from hook,
             hdc in next ch,
             10 sc, 3 ch,
             hdc in 2nd ch from hook,
             hdc in next ch,
             7 sc 

Rnd 10 : sc, dec, [2 sc,dec] x 5, sc (18)

Rnd 11 : [sc,dec] x 6 (12)
Stuff the piece,shaping it like a ball.
Rnd 12 : dec x 6 (12)

Fasten off with a long tail.To close the remaining gap,follow the finish a closed piece instruction in Techniques.

Step 2: Crocheting the fin

With desired color yarn

Row 1 : ch x 2,
             sc in  2nd ch from hook,
             ch x 1
Pull tightly,fasten off with a long tail.

Step 3: Crocheting the tail

With desired color yarn

Row 1 : ch x 3, 
             sl st in 2nd ch from hook,
             ch x 3,
             sl st in 2nd ch from hook,
             ch x 1
Pull tightly,fasten off with a long tail.

Step 4: Putting It All Together

Attach the fins between rnd 1&4,starting at the middle of the head and ending right above the back.
Attach the tail between rnds 9&10,starting at hte middle of the body.
For eyes.Sewing the eyes between rnds 7&8.
For cheek.Sewing the cheek between rnds 8&9.Start right below the eyes.
