12. Invisible fasten off
When creating a piece to be sewn onto another or where the edge will be visible, you can use the "invisible fasten off" technique. This method creates a smooth and seamless edge appearance.
1. Complete the last stitch and then cut the yarn, leaving a tail that is at least 6 inches longer than the circumference of the edge of the piece.
2. Pull the hook away from the piece until there are no loops remaining on the hook. Then, thread a needle with the yarn tail.
3. Skip the next stitch and insert the needle under the top loops of the following stitch, starting from the outside and going towards the inside of the piece.
4. Before tightening the stitch, insert the needle under the back loop of the stitch where the yarn tail is coming out from.
5.Pull the yarn tail gently but firmly until it is tight enough to match the size of the other stitches along the edge.
